Build a product catalog staff can use
Set product names, item codes, categories and available variants. Give each relevant product a barcode that matches the packaging you sell. Use the cashier product search to find items and verify the quantity and price before payment.
Receive, count and review stock
Record incoming and outgoing items, organize suppliers and compare counted stock with system quantities during stock opname. Differences need a reason and review; an accurate catalog and opening balance are as important as the checkout screen.
Recognize returning shoppers
Member tools support customer records, card levels, points and top-up workflows according to your plan. Configure benefits and member pricing before inviting customers to use them, and check the receipt so staff can explain the result.

Questions before you start
Can I use a barcode scanner?
Keyboard-mode USB or Bluetooth scanners can enter barcodes into the cashier input. Test your actual model and configuration; direct LAN devices require a supported protocol or integration.
Does stock opname replace a sales report?
No. Stock opname compares counted quantities with recorded stock, while sales reports summarize transactions. Use both when reviewing differences.
Can I manage more than one outlet?
Taro POS supports companies with multiple outlets and assigned staff access. Subscriptions are managed per outlet.
New businesses receive a 14-day trial automatically at sign-up. After the trial, choose the subscription for each outlet.
